Jen Broadhurst, WiSE PhD student, gave a talk last week at an event “Exploring a Basic Income” run by Extra Second Poetry. Annie Miller from Citizen’s Basic Income Network Scotland also spoke at this event. The footage is available on Independence Live’s website http://independencelive.net/event/810
Jen presented some of her research findings at the event, on attitudes towards a citizens basic income and why from a feminist economist perspective it could help alleviate women’s poverty. It was the first in a series of public talks, mixing academia, music, spoken word and poetry being organised by Extra Second, around Basic Income and other issues. https://www.facebook.com/Extrasecondpoetry/?fref=ts
