Professor Sara Cantillon has received a prestigious award for her work as Editor of the journalĀ Review of Radical Political Economics (RRPE).
The Director of Glasgow Caledonian’s WiSE Centre for Economic Justice was presented with The Hazel Dayton Gunn Golden Pencil Award in New York.
The award is bestowed upon board members whose work goes above and beyond the normal activities associated with their everyday editorial tasks.
Professor Cantillon is stepping down from the journal’s editorial board following her election as President of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE).
Professor Enid Arvidson, managing editor of the journal, said: “Sara Cantillon has served on the RRPE editorial board for 10 years.
“An internationally recognised expert in gender, care work, poverty and inequality, Sara has been a vital reviewer of submissions on these topics.
“We thank her for her many contributions to the journal and wish her luck with her current and new endeavours.”
