Dr O’Hagan at the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society 5&6 October

Dr Angela O’Hagan has been invited to speak at the Global meeting of the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society in Paris on 5&6 October.  Ahead of publication of her forthcoming book on gender budeting in Europe, Angela will be discussing ‘how should gender influence economic policy’ with a focus on her research and government policy advice on on gender budgeting.  The Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society brings together CEOs and senior managers of global corporations and international companies and this year will focus on Daring to lead in a disrupted world in a packed conference programme that will consider political instability, challenges and opportunities of automation and AI to progress women in STEM and opening pathways to women’s employment in all sectors.  Angela is a researcher with GCU’s WiSE Research Centre and will be a panelist along with colleagues from PwC and Citi.  Her contribution will focus on a feminist economics approach to economic policy and the importance of gender analysis in public resource allocation and decision making.   The conference will take place at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.’
