4th-year International Business and Human Resource Management student Chloe Yildirim discusses her time at the university so far, the opportunities offered to her and her future plans and goals.

Why you chose to study your course at GCU?

The modules offered in my course were more intriguing to me than those offered by other universities.

Favourite thing about studying your course at GCU? 

Questioning concepts and understanding differing perspectives with other students on my course.

What opportunities have been offered to you through studying your course at GCU?

Promotion.

Has studying your course at GCU prepared you for working life?

Definitely. I’ve been able to apply theoretical knowledge gained through my course to my professional career in HR.

Favourite module studied and why?

Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Ethics (SCoRE). I gained an insight into ethical practices regarding sustainability reporting, which has provided me with the knowledge to take further in my career. Also, gaining an additional qualification in Carbon Literacy Training will be beneficial for my career upon graduation.

What is your plan when you finish studying?

I plan on continuing my studies at GCU, and completing an MSc in either Risk Management or Environmental Management.

What is your 5-year plan?

I hope to achieve my MSc, and undertake a graduate programme with a top firm – and maybe move abroad!
