“The life skills I have gained from the university has allowed me to utilise specific traits in running my own business.”

2022 Business Management graduate Marc Kane shares his insight into life at GCU and life after graduating from university.

I chose to study at GCU because…

I was incredibly excited about learning at a University that funded so heavily in its students beyond an education and teaching critical life skills to succeed.

The most important aspect of my university experience has been…

The community. Having togetherness of all students as well as lecturers and tutors encouraged me to tap into a drive that I otherwise potentially could not have done. The life skills I have gained from the university has allowed me to utilise specific traits in running my own business.

My biggest lesson learned so far is…

You can’t cheat hard work. There are no shortcuts that can be taken when you want to provide a piece of work or perform a task at the best if your ability. I’ve carried this over to my business where I leave no stone unturned in my preparation.

I’m proud to be part of the University for the Common Good because…

It is a symbol of my hard work. I have adopted this mentality in benefiting a wider group in my own business and have used this as the ethics at the core of my operations.

I get my inspiration from…

The person I can become in 5 years. It sounds cliché but if you stay chasing the potential full version of yourself then you will set yourself for continued success.

My next steps look like…

Upscale my business by continuously improving my service and expanding on knowledge. Moving abroad to meet new people and experience new things to fully develop my potential.

You are most likely to bump into me…

At the gym without a doubt.
