Dr Andrew Tickell and Seonaid Stevenson McCabe have been working with our students to research how legal systems around the world have dealt with the issue of complainer anonymity. We have looked at our closest neighbours in England and Wales and the Republic of Ireland, as well as jurisdictions such as Canada and Tasmania. You will be able to find in this section short guides to the law in these countries. We will be sharing our research here with a view to seeing how other countries have legislation on this issue so that law reform efforts in Scotland can learn from these experiences.
