National Information Literacy Framework Scotland

Loughborough University Library adopted and modified the SCONUL Seven Pillars Model for their Information Literacies: IL competencies  see also Information Literacy: embedding IL into the curriculum.

N.B. 2008/2009 The SCONUL working group on information literacy is working on a nuber of initiatives including the impact of the seven pillars model on the design and delivery of information literacy across the UK.

National Information Literacy Framework (Scotland) Working Draft (2008)

At the time of the draft Loughborough’s IL competencies were being developed and not available via the web. However the project was and is grateful to Ruth Stubbings for allowing the project to use their work as an appendix in the draft framework.
