National Information Literacy Framework Scotland

The plan is to enrich the framework with exemplars of good practice which will demonstrate how specific competencies can be applied in practice and can demonstrate links to higher level complex thinking skills and innovation.

There is a lot of information literacy work carried out in HE (Higher Education) using the SCONUL 7 Pillars Model notably demonstrated by two examples with the framework appendicies:

• University of Abertay – Appendix D
• Loughborough University – Appendix E

Other HE /university case studies / exemplars of good practice added include:

• Fashion Brand Retailing course for S6 pupils at Glasgow Caledonian University
