Amanda Macmillan of the MA Multimedia Journalism has become a regular reporter at her local daily, the Greenock Telegraph, now going in one day every week. “Sometimes I get 2 bylines a day,” she says. Her recent stories include: Town’s history goes under the hammer (Greenock antiques going on sale at a Scottish auction), Teens trash new £95k kids’ park; Students fish for clues (James Watt College students have been given fish by the Sea Life Centre to conduct experiments); and a feature about student travellers and swine flu.
